Trained First Aiders
You need trained first aiders on every shift, including nights, and enough capability to manage a serious machinery injury while an ambulance is on its way. On larger floors, responders should be able to reach any area quickly.
First aid kits
Kits should suit the risks — severe bleeding, burns, eyewash for chemical splashes — and be placed at several clearly signed points across the floor and near higher-risk machinery.
AEDs
An AED is recommended for most manufacturing sites, particularly larger operations or those running shifts where every minute counts before help arrives.
